Disciplinary Procedures and Consequences

The school follows a progressive disciplinary approach based on the severity of violations:

  • Written Warning: Repeated or moderate violations result in a written warning communicated to parents.

  • Detention: Students may be required to remain after school hours for reflection and completion of academic work.

  • Parent-Teacher Meeting: For serious concerns, parents are called to discuss the issue and develop a corrective plan.

  • Suspension: Extended misconduct may result in temporary suspension from school.

  • Expulsion: Students engaged in grave violations, such as substance abuse, violence, or repeated serious offenses, may be expelled from the school.

The school administration reserves the right to interpret and apply these rules fairly and contextually. Any rule violation or breach of conduct standards will be handled with appropriate action in accordance with the severity of the offense and the individual circumstances involved.

Appeal and Grievance Redressal

If students or parents believe that a disciplinary action has been unjust, they may lodge a formal appeal with the school administration within five working days. The school will investigate the matter and provide a fair resolution.

Discipline is not about punishment; it is about developing responsibility and character. At Shivalik International Convent School, we encourage students to make wise choices and become responsible global citizens.
